This waxy dark green foliaged plant is valuable as a specimen plant. Rose of Sharon - Blush Satin, Hibiscus syriacus 'Mathilde' (PP12,660), is an upright attractive plant that produces soft pink flowers with a prominent red eye and is long blooming. Blush Satin is a tremendous improvement in hardy Hibiscus. It is a strong growing plant with lots of large, brightly colored blooms. A moderate grower, it's also pollution-tolerant. Rose of Sharon prefers full sun and well-drained soil and is very tolerant of heat and drought. Keep it well watered during growth.
