The Daisy Butterfly, 'Argyranthemum frutescens', is a fantastic release from Proven Winners. The Daisy 'Butterfly' is a heat-tolerant marguerite Daisy with oomph. 'Butterfly' produces canary-yellow flowers throughout the summer ­ even without deadheading. Daisy's require a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil and should be kept well watered in the summer. Daisy's may be used as a cut flower and they are excellent in window boxes, pots, and rock gardens. The Daisy is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds, plus they are resistant to deer. These Daisys are winter hardy to USDA Zones 10-11 and they are grown as an annual in other cooler climatic zones. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage additional bloom. The Bracteantha Strawburst Yellow, Bracteantha 'Strawburst™ Yellow' PPAF, has excellent heat tolerance and since it is also frost hardy, it will perform all season long. The Livingstone Daisy Mezoo Trailing Red, Dorotheanthus bellidiformis 'Mezoo™ Trailing Red', is a sprawling to mounding daisy plant with succulent green leaves edged with white, occasionally accented with button-sized red flowers in spring. Bright flowers with many petite petals remain open during cloudy weather, unlike other Livingstone daises, which close if the sky darkens. Mezoo Trailing Red is a glossy green succulent with cream margins that can be used as a groundcover or as a spiller plant in mixed containers and baskets. The red in its name comes from dime-sized flowers that accent the plant. It is tolerant of wet or dry conditions and high or low pH. In other words, anyone can grow this plant anywhere.
