	Serbian Spruce Description: The Serbian Spruce, 'Picea omorika', Serbian Spruce forms a narrow, pyramidal silhouette with graceful arching branches. The upper surface of the needles is glossy, dark green in contrast to the whitish lower surface.The Serbian spruce, with it's narrow pyramidal habit, allows its use in smaller scale landscape situations than most other conifer trees. 	Shantung Maple Description: The Shantung Maple, 'Acer trucatum', is an outstanding small tree. It has glossy, dark green star shaped foliage that remains in good condition throughout the season. It develops good fall color ranging from clear yellow to reddish purple. Its quality and adaptability make it worth growing. It is an excellent tree for small lawns and street tree use.It does well in full sun and in general seems to be quite adaptable. It of northern China but has a very large native range. 	Tatarian Maple Description: The Tatarian Maple, Acer tataricum', is quite similar to Amur Maple and the two species readily hybridize when grown together. Tatarian Maple grows slightly larger and is naturally more tree like in growth habit. The Tatarian Maples are slightly larger and usually develop a good red coloration when maturing. Fall color is usually yellow to reddish brown. A good tree for planters or patios. It has excellent small tree form and good foliage quality. Price: $24.95 Category: maple tree

	Texas Red Oak Description: The Texas Red Oak, 'Quercus buckleyi' is also known as Spanish Oak, Spotted Oak, Red Oak, and Rock Oak. This medium sized tree may achieve a height of 30 feet or more and an equal spread. The Texas Red Oak develops a rather typical shape and form for the species, with a dense rounded canopy. The Texas red oak may also be found as a multi-trunked specimen in the wild. They are moderately fast growing for a hard wood tree. The bark is thick with scaly ridges separated by deep, dark fissures. Price: $24.95 Category: oak tree

	Slippery Elm Description: The Slippery Elm tree, 'Ulmus rubra', also know as Red Elm, is medium-sized tree that prefers moist soils. The leaves are large and very rough to the touch. It is distinguishable from other elms by its red, hairy buds and its rough, hairy twigs. The buds are covered with rusty red hairs and the wood is red to dark brown, hence the Latin name rubra, meaning red. The bark is deeply furrowed and brownish red. The inner bark is stringy, and slimy or slippery, hence the common name Slippery elm. It is less susceptible to Dutch elm disease than many elms, and has a different branching pattern. The inner bark was historically used for medicinal purposes. The inner bark is still used in the preparation of some throat lozenges. Price: $24.95 Category: other tree
